what %age of your budget was labor for kitchen reno?

We’ve gotten a few quotes for cabinets, and only 1 thus far for labor. The labor quote to me was astronomical. They said a lot of subcontractors are charging crazy money right now because so many people are doing renos.
Our job will require:
Demo: existing cabs, demo a peninsula, demo floor.
installation: cabinetry, installing LVP flooring, installing a toe kick heater, venting range hood to outside, installing a couple recessed lights, then your regular stuff like backsplash and painting.

We’re supposed to get a couple more labor quotes this week, but just wondering what I’m in for. What %age of your budget was labor for you all? We already have a cabinet price we’re comfortable with. We’re in New England near Boston so it’s definitely more spendy here than some places. Which is why I’m asking %age vs. actual cost. Thanks!

This graphic includes labor, as most contractors don’t separate things out into just 2 categories of products and labor. Install is generally included in the cabinet line total, as it is in the electrical, plumbing, etc. But typically labor runs 30-50% of a project total. It will depend on scope. Most projects I deal with are most surprised at the cost of demo and electrical.
