9,000 BTU. Not sure of the model and warranty yet... our contractor just created this bedroom from one larger room and he got one of his guys to come by and give us a quote. The AC guy said he would install the unit in the upstairs bedroom and run a hose through the attic to an outside condenser which would be slightly elevated to account for snow.

Ask for a quote on a comparable Mitsubishi.

Just got more detail from my contractor.... its a actually called a Comforstar. Outdoor unit model #CM2-18-2z 18mbh and Indoor unit model #CXH009CDI9k. Anymore heard of this? Thank you!!

This is AC or HP?....1 1/2 ton seems oversized...again warranty....what do you do about heat?...

What happened to the quote for the 9,000 BTU size? Your installer does not know how to size the equipment. Comfortstar seems to be a low end equipment. There are many negative reviews. Perhaps you should get quotes from HVAC companies who install mini splits.

Okay will be reaching out to HVAC companies instead. What is the average price for installation?
