To answer your question, yes, they should be lower. But, I wonder if you have too much symmetry going on here! Are those light boxes or some kind of (Dyson) fan? If this were my bedroom, I would try those cute wall hangings (are those fake plants?) elsewhere in my home, find a pair of pictures that I love, rectangular-shaped and hung vertically, so the bottom of the pic is a little lower than the top of the headboard. I might try some lamps to replace the whatever those are (they can be as tall as the headboard), and I’d pull a color or two from the pictures for pillow(s) on my bed. Good luck!

They’re too high and the curtains are too low. Lower the “artwork” and raise your curtains to the ceiling. Good luck!

I don’t think the items suit and changing height still won’t feel balanced. Maybe consider something more substantial with more color and then add cushions to pull the look together. I’d also raise the curtains to the ceiling and if you like plants, a large one would be really nice

Please think about raising your drapes to the ceiling and lowering the art. I wonder if you’d consider hanging simple pendants from the ceiling, something small and in the same modern feel as your bedroom set. I think that would look amazing! Great looking bedroom furniture!

For the drapes being too low...I kept where the original drapes were hung by the homes' previous owners. Laziness mostly, I considered moving it up but then it means I have to get custom drapes. My ceilings are 10 feet tall and each grommet panel is 100+" wide so I either have to get custom or find someone who specializes in this size. I will get there eventually. I've only now furnished the home from the ground-up with the big pieces finally arriving (COVID threw in some wrenches there). Any thoughts on color for the drapes when I get around to swapping it?

The other side of the room is also still quite bare too, maybe a floor ottoman pouf, floor plant and something on the dresser?

I also need to still get King sized pillows but my husband refuses to deal with decorative pillows (he has the scene of Along Came Polly come to mind) lol... In general, I prefer most things to be very minimal, clutter (visual or otherwise) gives me anxiety.

Thank you @Gcubed- I will lower it to have the bottom align with the top of the headboard. I'll keep an eye out for artwork though, I have difficulty finding any I like which is why I went this route.

Those are table lamps, ah! Hmmm...if you love them then I’d keep them. I was just thinking about warming up the space a bit. Love everything you have (when the art is lowered and the drapes are installed higher:). maybe a very simple pendent over the bed, from the ceiling...like a horizontal bar to cast a soft glow? The rest of the room will come, maybe a great rug between the dresser and bed? A large floor plant to bring in some texture and more organic feel? The room has great bones, just need to soften it a little bit I think.

I would have assembled a different grouping of items to address some if the issues of the room architecture and the furnishings. I raised the drapery panels behind the bed. The furniture is small in scale and so accessories have to be grouped to make them appear larger in scale. Buffet lamps which are tall and narrow fit the needs in the room better IMO.

I'm sure that is a more fitting location for the plates in the home.
