I would use the powder when washing in hot, but the liquid is likely better for warm or cold washes. The powder does not contain an activator, so it will not be very effective in warm or cold washes.

I will tell you though, I have been using Biz liquid instead of OxiClean MaxForce Spray for pretreating stains, and it has been incredible. The OxiClean liquid you are discussing is Hydrogen Peroxide based, which would be good for certain stains, but contains no enzymes. The Biz Liquid if I recall correctly has 5 enzymes, and it is significantly cheaper than the OxiClean MaxForce Spray.

doreycrouse - FWIW, I tried the Biz Liquid once and the perfume was reeeally strong. It was too strong for me. The powder has a scent but it's much lighter and not as overwhelming. For that reason alone I use powder when I need it.

That OxiClean MaxForce has a strong perfume that takes days to dissipate, too. I can't use it because of the strong scent. Whew! I sometimes use it on the collars of hubby's golf shirts, only if none of my own clothes are going into that load of laundry. It works great and is fine for all y'all who are not bothered by perfumed products. ( and I am a little jealous of y'all for that.)

Powder all the way, but only really on hot washes. For anything else I actually just use straight peroxide liquid.
