cost of demolish/rebuild vs renovate/match style

Currently in the process of designing a mid mod/modern lake house in Texas on newly purchased property where a fire burned down the original house but left the 2 car garage. Garage is a more traditional style and doesn’t “match” the idea of what new house exterior will ideally be.
My question is two-part:
Part1- generally speaking, would it be more economical to demolish garage and foundation while doing other demo on land and start over with new style design? (Aka “clean slate”) or better cost savings to have exterior renovated to match new house build? (Garage is half finished out in insulation/interior and is currently being used as a holding space for lake stuff/chairs/hammocks/etc)
Part 2- provided garage exterior could be made to match, is there any insight on how expensive it is to change a pitched-roof line to a more mid-mod angle or flat? Or would changing the roof-Line throw the cost into more of a “negligible savings” sort of area?
Excited to see what my fellow Houzers say...
