I have a couple spots in my lawn that have recently shown up in the past few days and not sure what it might be. The tips of the blades of grass are browning and curling up and wilting as you can see in pic 2 and 3. Any Idea what this could be? I don't believe I'm dealing with a fungus as our night time temps have been cooler and we haven't had much humidity, but I could be wrong. I have noticed however a ton of crane flies flying around in my lawn recently so my first thought it might be crane fly larvae damage but honestly not sure.

For reference I am in Iowa, zone 5B with a KBG, Rye, Fescue mix lawn.
