I recently found a monarch caterpillar on a job site. I collected it and a good portion of the host plant and took it home to my daughter. It devoured the leaves almost entirely after I took it home. A few days later I went back to the job site I was at and learned the host plant had been sprayed with roundup before I collected it. The leaves it had eaten off of it before forming its chrysalis didn’t die from the roundup so maybe I cut them off before they were affected...? It’s been 13 days since it formed its chrysalis. Do you think it will make it, or has it died in its chrysalis?
