My Daughter found this table on FB market place. Works great in their small Boston Apartment, however clearly not wood, nor does it appear to be laminate. It has some chipped paint. Any suggestions for a relatively easy fix to touch up those spots and cover it so that it doesn’t continue to chip?

Was thinking that she could mix a paint to touch it up, then put some type of clear coat on it. Any suggestions on type of paint, clear or technique is greatly appreciated!
