Kitchen island lighting help

Hi everyone, would really love some urgent advice. My kitchen island is 2.9metres long and 1.2metres deep (wide) I have already bought 3 lantern pendant lights that are 30cm in diameter. Are these too big for the area? And have I bought 1 too many? Please help my electrician is due to install them tomorrow..

I had the same problem with my kitchen remodel. I ended up with a 6 light chandelier with crystal pendants rather than the traditional island pendant and love it. I didn't think it was my style but I do love it and it makes the kitchen more modern.

But to answer your question, your light doesn't sound too big but I would have the electrician add a dimmer switch.

The three lanterns are not too big. Your island is almost 10 feet long by 4 feet deep.
