Where are you located? Even in CA the nights have cooled down and my eggplants have slowed considerably. Perhaps it's gotten too cool for you plants to set fruit.

I'm in Florida. The nights aren't that cool yet. It's been a couple months and even in the summer weather I had the same issue.

Did you have just one eggplant planted? I planted 2 this year which I started from seed, both were side by side, same watering, same fertilizing, identical treatment all the way. But one was a dud (stunted, no fruits) while the one next to it pumped out about 20 nice eggplants over the season. In fact it still has 3-4 decent sized fruits hanging on it now but we're just tired of eating them. Maybe you just got a dud?

Would be a little surprised since I did get two nice size eggplants out of it...but that's been about it. I didn't grow from seeds but bought from Lowes. I'll give seeds a shot and see what happens; will also try to grow a couple in case I get another dud. Thanks for the information.
