Don’t paint them! They have so much character. I’d try to update the hardware although you’ll have limited options. Are you updating appliances? I’d want light colored but not starkly white counter and backsplash. Good luck. Hope the pros have more tips for you.

Are you replacing countertops and appliances? What's the floor?

crisp whites. no butterscotch praline or yellows.if you want a bit of color light sage green...not too much gray in it and stay light.

Please raise your range so that the top of it is sitting slightly above the adjacent countertops.

Good idea about raising the stove. I never thought of that. Yes, I plan to add quartz countertops that look like marble and the floor will be updated. I've struggled with painting the cabinets but you all have helped me decide to clean them and add new hardware. There are 100 hinges so I'm going to spray paint before I buy new ones.
