Rockwool vs Blown In Fiberglass Attic Insulation

I just moved into an older house (1930's) in coastal Southern California that has very little/old insulation in the attic. I am looking to replace the attic insulation and am trying to decide between rockwool vs fiberglass.

I am considering rockwool because we are directly beneath a flight path and I know rockwool has sound reducing qualities. The city has a program to replace all the windows at no charge which I will be doing as well to help with the noise.

Attic is 950sf, I was quoted $6,000 for rockwool (R30) and $3,500 for blown in fiberglass (R38). I am curious how much rockwool will actually help with the sound and if I can justify the cost difference.
