Back to wind and Fires again

Two of them going right now. There is ash all over. I covered the chrysanthemums during the last heat wave and then we had a beautiful week of cool weather. Now everything is covered with dirt and ash. Waiting for the destruction to stop and then I'm going to cut everything back and plant cool season seeds. At least I had a glorious week and some good pictures.

The orchid house blew over in the wind and my best big umbrella carried away and broken but we got the orchids rescued and their house set back up. The epies have a zillion broken bits on the ground. Watered yesterday in the smoke and ash and hiding inside today. The wind is considerably less. Spinach is up and looking good and tomatoes trying to flower again. Don't feel like sweeping up today. I was outside all yesterday and I'm taking the day off. My kitty looks miserable and asks me to go outside. House plants don't know how good they have it inside with the apples and cinnamon simmering on the stove keeping the humidity up. If I had a greenhouse, I'd be planting seeds and bulbs. That last cool week brought on a burst of garden energy.

Oak Glen was packed on the weekend. It was nice to see everyone having fun.
