Sue, I used honed but the polished was pretty, too. This company (The Builder Depot) was great to work with. They take pics of the tiles from different lots so you can compare. They were fast and there were very few broken tiles.

Santa, what a cute name! I had a Samoyed for 12 years, named Mako, he was a wonderful dog. I miss the dog dearly but not the “tumbleweeds” 😂

Love your kitchen! Are the cabinets and drawers inset or full overlay?

My cabinet maker says the space inside the cabinet is smaller than an overlay one. Have you noticed not having much inside cabinet space or a difference? Thank you

@vjs12 yes, your cabinet maker is correct. There's less space, but it isn't enough that I would change my mind if i had to do it over. However, I think full overlay can be just as beautiful. If your'e tight on space, do full overlay for sure. If you aren't, do what catches your eye the most. So many great examples of both on Houzz..

Good to know. Yes my kitchen isn’t as big so that’s why he didn’t recommend inset. A beaded shaker full overlay (painted maple wood) is what I’m thinking and he suggested.
