the juju hat would be great over the bed for sure, your headboard is short enough that it would work great. sconces over the tables would look awesome or how about slender adjustable lamps that bring a little unexpected. on the blank wall, it seems a bit tight to me for an extra desk or dresser. I like the idea of a chair in the corner and then for the wall I would add art that you love, maybe its one huge art piece, or a gallery of art. heres the idea of an adjustable arm lamp

I would do just fabric blinds or maybe bamboo blinds for a little texture? to me because the windows hug the wall, curtains will be too tight.

just thinking about layout... am I correct in thinking that if you put the bed between the two windows that there wouldnt be enough room to comfortably walk at the end of the bed to the other side of the bed?

We had our bed there originally! And just moved it to its current position 2 weeks ago. There is enough space to walk with it between the 2 windows, but the TV hook up was on the wall where our bed faces now, so it just makes more sense :/ the room is about 12x11 I think

And now that you've seen our bedroom, I'm having trouble finding a console table/sideboard for our living room. This is a large main wall that also serves as an entryway area that sits opposite of our fireplace and TV. We don't have a true entryway, and the front door is on the right in this photo. The sideboard there now is a little too dark and big for the space, so I'm sending it back. Also, please disregard the canvas artwork in this picture as well. Those were wedding decorations.

What would you recommend for this space? Wall is about 72 inches long.

LOL, I know what you mean... once you see someone's bedroom, nothing is secret... how deep is your current console? to me the width looks like a good size, to me its a bit too deep. how long is it too?

forgot to ask...do you need it for storage so the doors with shelves are important?

I agree in that it is too deep. It's 19 inches deep and 55 inches long. The wall might be closer to 80 inches in length too.

I don't necessarily need storage and am open to more decorative pieces. I have a few spots where I could put a cabinet if I need to.

I'm also not married to our side tables, and will be interested in getting a new coffee table/ottoman at some point in time.

I am thinking that perhaps a waterfall style console would look nice in that spot... a few different ideas below, simple and clean. I think these are 12in deep to 15in deep.. would need to see which depth is better. could put a couple rattan baskets under them for extra storage if needed. put a mirror above and then style the top with a vase of stems and possibly a lamp.

It’s like you read my mind! I’ve been obsessed with this look, to tie in with the stripes of our accent stools, but the one from Anthro is so pricey 😭

yes, glass with brass great option, i saved one too, but thought with shelves it might get a little too busy perhaps? stuff may get knocked around on shelves since its in high traffic area?

I can't find a less expensive stripe either. I think the stripe is a statement piece and to me would need to decorate around it a bit more. to me, you would need more bold.pieces to go with it, like say a stronger rug perhaps?

I think 16 would work, but now that I think about it, I like the idea of being able to put little baskets or poofs under it and I can't do that with either of those haha

the anthro desk is 18in, which is just one inch less deep than your current. IMO i would go with one that is less deep? basic wood is nice too, but it seems like you want something with some uniqueness and the curve linen to me provides that? definitely like the waterfall style.

I do really like the curved linen one. Are you sure it won't look strange being so light and white while all of my other furniture has color/pattern?

Just snapped the fireplace. Refacing the tile is on our list of projects, but this is our only living area so the TV had to go above it sadly.

The stools are actually a really deep navy stripe. I literally don’t have any stripes in the house in any other rooms.

I bought those before seeing they had a plain linen version and it was too late to send them back 🤦‍♀️

I can always put the stools in one of the guest rooms. Is it strange to have a feature wall opposite the fireplace? I liked the idea of drawing attention to the wall versus the TV, but I’ve also read that 2 focal points is a no-no.

may take the chair rail down on that wall. what is the color of the paint, kinda hard to tell... another thought is to bring in something just above chair rail that brings coordinates with wall color... i am into bird wallpaper right now... looking at some that coordinates with rug..

the only thing to me is that we need to coordinate rug into scheme. let's say you do navy and white stripe wallpaper will need to bring in perhaps navy pillows to bring the navy across the room.

I think if we took down the chair rail on that wall, we’d have to take it down everywhere :/ which I considered originally, but it’s kind of unique to the house and I haven’t seen any others in our area with it.

Would you do the birdsong just above it? I could also paint below the chair rail - either just on that wall or on all the walls in the living room? it carries into the kitchen and the hallways too though so I’m not sure how that would look since the spaces aren’t really defined or sectioned off

I think you could take the chair rail just on that wall and put wallpaper on entire wall. I would definitely wallpaper entire wall and then maybe see if you need to add the chair rail back once wall paper is up...do it in steps and see how it looks and adjust accordingly. just thinking... what does the entry way look like. just thinking if wallpaper could also go in entry... if you do juat one wall, great but just wondering about entry

Yeah that wall is basically the entry way unfortunately. Colors in rug are rust, olive, navy, burgundy and gold with pink stitching. So many colors haha 😆

a couple more ideas for wallpaper. thinking a little outside the box... was thinking book wallpaper would look interesting since its a stand alone wall and could be fun and unexpected. would look great with the linen console and then a mirror above it...will be interested in your thoughts...

you can do that, but to me it would look much better on the entire wall. i would go all the way. if you do a frame the wallpaper would need to be bold, like the bold floral above otherwise it could look like u just put wallpaper in a frame
