In our new construction home our interior doors are solid core 3 horizontal panels. Door will look like this but with black hardware. We are not happy with the builders trim. They are doing 3 3/8 Howe door casing which is more traditional, 7.25 finger joint base boards, and 5.25 FJ crown in some rooms. Instead of Howe, we wanted something more craftsman. Thinking about this. Would this work with baseboards, crown, and door style? Can’t afford to change baseboards and crown too and doors have already been ordered. So decision is between Howe or other window casing.
