Little late, but common white vinegar is diluted to 5% and cleaning vinegar to 6% acetic acid. According to this ARTICLE the extra 1% makes cleaning vinegar 20% stronger and gloves should be worn. For most jobs 5% vinegar is strong enough. Vinegar should never be used on natural stone, waxed wood, cast iron or aluminum. You can use a bathroom scrub sponge to remove built up debris.
