I'm so sorry about the storm damage. The house has great lines, so I don't think a whole lot is needed beyond a "statement" midcentury front door. Here are some colorful ones, though I think the doors would the slat windows will look best. Even the big box stores have the MCM bright doors now.

To break up the left a bit, explore midcentry landscaping--angular garden bed on that side with a mix of interesting plants. A small garden center could help you with native plant choices--shrubs, hardscapng, plants of different up and down heights.

I think the exterior looks good...like the idea of an orange door! The biggest need is a good landscape plan.

it's kind of hard to tell what color the house is in a shadow. is it blue grey? if it's regular grey, an orange door would look awesome, or red. if you chose red, I'd do something vibrant, not dark. a more modern door would make a really big statement here.

as for the 2nd story-- many midcentury homes had a vertical strip of contrast siding around smaller windows.

examples: your house has horizontal boards, so maybe do vertical strips of cedar (like this photo, but opposite directions):

or like this, but in your case it would be brick veneer above/below the windows. so like opposite of what this house has:

Orange or turquoise door would go with gray. Orange if it's more blue. Or natural light wood. My mcm has its original birch slab front door from 1954.

Very much like the left side visualization posted by Celery. Visualization, Rendering images; however would NOT do steep steps straight out the door or immediately after a tiny landing. Instead, would create a 6'deep (preferably concrete) floor front porch/deck on the right side beneath the windows and door -- whether or not you continue the same roof line as the right side of the front of the house itself to cover that porch.

I vote for the vertical cedar.

I like Celery's mockup, maybe even more than mine. If this was my house, I'd have a hard time choosing! The horizontal stonework might have more longevity, style wise.
