Sure you can have the same style as you have above the garage door.

I don't think the brick is the biggest problem. You need landscaping! And a new curved pathway to your front door. And a solid front door (if you need a storm door, use a clear one). And heavier-looking posts. Can you paint the siding? If so, paint your siding, garage doors, and trim a different color - use a online color visualizer like the one on Sherwin Williams to get ideas. Make these changes, and your mind won't be so focused on changing the brick.

While this isn't the same style of house, imagine your home with similar landscaping.

Paint the garage door or do a new wood one. That would be a far bigger impact. That much blinding white screaming to notice it is a big issue. As is the lack of landscaping. Tha’s your 2 issues. Not the entry. Certainly not the warm brick.

Thank you everyone for your feedback! Totally agree on the landscape. We have had a designer out and have plans ready to go next Spring. The garage door, heavier posts (I had not thought of this, but love it!) and painting the siding our all great ideas. I will use the color virtualizer as well.

I assume your husband wouldn’t want to white wash the brick either. But that’s another option. I’d put board and baton where you have siding above the garage and by the door area I’d try to get a bigger door ( if the interior allowed for it) otherwise put board and baton. Forsure beef up the posts on the porch. I’d paint the trim black. And new garage and front door. New address sign. New brick (herringbone pattern?) walkway. New lighting. Options are totally endless lol! Start with whatever you can now and slowly make your way to complete. This house is a total win. Love it. So much potential so cute and cozy! Can’t wait to see what you do with it

I agree with the advice given above: better garage doors, a wide, swooping sidewalk and sturdier porch posts. Maybe a new front door in a charming color.

Certainly don’t cover your lovely brickwork with shiplap. Get a wood rack, if the firewood must be stored on the front porch. Better yet, find a different place for the woodpile.
