Pretty certain it’s just your average weed. Looked it up & saw so many similar I couldn’t ID without more info on locale. Look around your area & you‘ll probably see lots of it. Some kind of dandelion looking thing. If you yank it out bet it has long tap root.

If you can take a pic of it's root zone it would be easy to see if they are turnips (which the leaves resemble). If not turnips then some other "greens"?

I've never seen it before. I don't think I've ever seen a turnip in The Bahamas :). Maybe its too warm for them, but its nice and cool now (for The Bahamas) so you do see some cooler weather crops thrive now.

I'll take a photo of the root zone. The joke, weeds end up in all of our planters (I'm always yanking them out, but I've never seen this). None the less I'm leaning to it being a random weed. I've asked persons in the church but no one seems to know so I doubt someone planted it, intentionally that is.

Looks a lot like some of my mustard. Have you tried crushing and smelling a leaf?

That’s a good suggestion. Smell is often a useful id tool.

Talk about a Euerka moment

So..do you know the parable of the mustard seed? If you don't the bible speaks of having the faith of a mustard seed. We had some mustard seeds at church to illustrate how tiny they are.

I bet one or two of them got into the planters!

That occurred to me after I posted because I know some churches do hand out mustard seed when telling that story.
