It has been some time since I've used the meat probe, last night I made a rack of lamb and I was expecting the oven to ding as well as shut off once the probe read the set temperature. It did not, I am concerned something might be wrong with the oven. Does anyone know if what I expected was supposed to happen? (oven shutting off in the same way it shuts off when cook time reaches 0) If I remember correctly, the last time I used the meat probe that is what happened. but perhaps I'm not remembering correctly.
