Why couldnt' the flat screen be hung in the flat walled spot with the bench seat? Would save on counter space and be visible from everywhere?

    Thanks for the note. The short answer is that is how my client wanted it. The TV actually is on a motor that allows it to travel up and down, and although it is unclear in the photo, there is a piece of countertop and a watertight gasket, on top of the TV. When closed this flushes out with the counter. It is on a remote and super James Bond-ish. Client reports wowing his guests with this unique feature, particularly after a few martinis...
