I think an architect will help you realize that you don’t want to carry groceries from the garage through the length of the house (living room?) to the kitchen.

Agreed with the above. Did you base this off of someone else’s design? Lol. You Forsure need to put the garage off the kitchen and maybe add a living room to where the garage is if you want that L shape. But I don’t think that’s ideal either. Gonna try to brainstorm for ya

A house is not designed one floor at a time. Also the site it sits on needs to be considered.

not a pro - but I'd recommend finding one :) For example, I think you'd want a powder room somewhere near the pool so you're not tracking water etc. through the house, or walking around or through the garage, after going for a swim.

Thanks everybody. Really appreciate the suggestions. Powder room will be built into the staircase so the outside can access the toilet/change.

I am trying to imagine your furniture layout for the living room - Since the left side will have doors for guest room/bathroom/den - that area might not be available for furniture and depending on the stairs layout it may make it hard to fit furniture.

How do you access the pool? I see the note on the left to add door to outside - but looks like that space is now taken up by the pantry.

I think you would get better feedback if you provide a little more detailed plan and perhaps also share a little about your family/home (kids? age range? area? etc)
