I agree that something light and neutral ( SW Kilim Beige) would be a good choice. Are you sure that gray carpeting is the best color? If the budget allows I would try to carry the wood floors into all rooms that meet. A unified look is much more appealing.

Pick up the lightest beige in your granite for your walls and paint the brick your accent color - greys and blues are en trende right now.

If you're keeping the granite, the granite should be your star and I think the lightest beige color in it should be your paint color, as HU-350419349 said.

Personally, I would paint the fireplace an off white to minimize the orange-y color that's already in your countertops since you're not a fan of orange anyway.

I also second what grapefruit1_ar asked...are you sure about the carpet color? If you're set on carpet, I'd make it match to the granite (beige shade) since the kitchen is open to the living room. Grey doesn't seem like it will go well with that granite. If the flooring is wood, you could always stain it a different, less orange-y shade?

Paint the fireplace brick and surround first. This brick was peachy orange and we white washed it. Watered down paint and wiped back after applied. Grout lines filled with brush.

Thanks everyone . I’m just horrible trying to figure out colors . We plan to have the kitchen remodel eventually but that won’t be for another 3 yrs or so. We want to knock the wall down where stove is. We want carpet in that room for our kids to play . I do want to paint the brick I was looking into a product called brick anew . What color should I do the brick ? And this is the color of the carpet . Do you guys think it’s to gray ? I’m bad trying to see grays and browns I thought it looked more brown but 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I already ordered it. My husband is going nuts because he wants me to just chill and focus on one thing at a time . We already paid and ordered for all the windows to be replaced

Wood floors are far more valuable in the long run. I would suggest looking at large area rugs for the kids to play on,which will add a more decorative element to the entire space. Painting your walls a warm white will help neutralize everything (SW Creamy is a very nice white, as is Antique White which I have in my house). I strongly suggest leaving the wood floors since you plan to remodel in the foreseeable future. That gives you the option to continue that floor into the new kitchen and refinish the whole thing to a less orange stain. Keep it simple so you can visualize your future kitchen!

I wouldn’t paint brick, but I would have it cleaned. I am yet to see painted brick to look good from up close. I agree that one of the light beige colours from the counter. Whatever you do, add texture with textiles as it will go make the kitchen look better. Even if you go with modern lignes, this will tie everything together. Remember the curtains too. It’s a beautiful room. Just resists any grays or blues, except for the accents.
