Hi All, I'm currently installing a floating 12 mil laminate plank floor on the upper floor of my home. It's the tongue and groove type stuff and it's going in a small hallway about 8'x3' and two rooms with dimensions of roughly 10'x12' and 9'x 11'. My question is, do I need a transition in the doorways going to the bedrooms? The bathroom will obviously get one as it is tiled, but since the same flooring will be going in the two bedrooms and the hallway, all running the same direction, I'd love to not have transition strips so that it looks more continuous. Instructions state: " T-moldings are required in rooms that are greater than 40' wide or 40' long and when doorways overlap into new rooms that do not join symmetrically (flooring direction is changed)". My thinking is that it would be alright, but would love to hear input from those with success as well as failure!
