yes, i think white beveled subway tiles would look great- with light grey grout for more visual interest, with white grout for cleaner, simpler look

To harmonize the whole space, pick the color out of the counters that looks best to the gray uppers. You don't need another color here.

I agree to pick something out of the countertop. But it is so not necessary to do it now. Wait until the cabinets are painted and the hardware is changed. Get some samples and then pick. Don’t rush into it. Wait and get something beautiful that you love

whats wrong with the green gray lower cab? If you pull the cooler slightly gray tone out of counter for backsplash tile [just keep it a very light shade] ......keep the color of cabs, then w hardware tweak and new splash tile that is all you'd need to do. Sounds like lots of work and expense to paint one [cool tone ]paint in good shape, it appears, to another [cool tone] paint color.....

I happen to agree with herbflavor. Meaning personally I would keep the cabinets get all new hardware and new countertops and backsplash faster than redoing the cabinets. They look good and in great condition.

While I know that navy cabinets are "in" right now I am not convinced that would be the best color to go with your counters. I actually think the color of the cabinets you have right now matches very nicely. I understand wanting a new back splash and I would suggest finding a light color that blends with the counter - a warm grey, cream, or something that is a little pinkish

Your cabinet colors must relate to the countertops as well as the flooring which isn't visible. Nothing in that warm colored countertop relates to navy. The lightest color in the countertop could be a starting point in selecting a backsplash tile, but it's best to wait until the other components are completed.

We recommend picking out a color in your countertop that would go with your cabinet colors. It might be a good idea to get some samples and see what they'll look like against your countertops and cabinets.

Your backsplash should match one of the main light colors in your counter.

Put me in the camp of keeping the cabinets and changing the granite and backsplash.

The reason why you chose that backsplash is because it is difficult to pair that granite with a single color.

Navy would be a mistake with those counters.

If you want navy, then I think you need to change the counter and backsplash. All these changes equal thousands of dollars,
