I think you could use a nightstand with drawers where you keep the machine inside: while in use - leave drawer open, during day - cram the hose and mask inside and close the drawer. (Just make sure your machine has adequate air flow. It's not meant to run inside a closed area.)

Another idea is to use a small secretary desk as a nightstand. Machine and mask go in the desk area, open when in use, close during day.

I've used a cpap for almost 10 years. I just leave everything out. My mask hangs on the nightstand knob. I thought about hiding it and putting it away when I first got it but have since decided it's too much of a hassle. Plus sometimes my mask needs to dry out because of the humidifier. I wouldn't want to put a damp mask in a dark enclosed space.
