As an ex- Pro-Chef and now as a builder, I highly recommend a pot filler unless the kitchen would never hold more than two people working at once. By example, it is less than 3' from my sink to my range...and nobody can get between the three of us. Ergo, no pot filler....maybe later when I remodel and enlarge the kitchen.

Nah. Unless you make pasta every night, etc. you still have to carry the pot back to the sink to drain/wash, so you're saving yourself very little work. I'd spend the money on something more useful -- unless you really want to send that plumber on a cruise.

I had this same dilemma not long ago. I opted for a veggie sink in my island instead. That way I can pour and drain!

HI -- It has become a house selling point but.... if you don't need it then don't put one in. I would rather have a prep sink or an extra single sink instead .

Do you not think these will be dated in a few years?

I recommend pot fillers for several reasons:
-Time saver when you love to cook.
-Second or third faucet in a kitchen with more than one cook.
-And simply a great feature when the budget allows.

Personally, I have one, am not the worlds greatest chef, but absolutely love it & use it everyday!

I always though they were kind of gimmicky by was talked into one during my kitchen renovation. Turns out I use it daily and love it! If your gutting the kitchen, I would say that now is the time and go for it.
