I have a powder room/laundry like you are proposing and I love it. Mine is smaller. I don’t have a laundry sink. It’s just my machines in a closet at the far end. Sink and toilet opposite each other. I doubt most of my guests even know it’s the laundry room.

Can you wall off the washer and dryer and access them from the other side? Think back of where they are now if that wall was a double door. The washer and dryer would be the other direct, turned 180 and open to the other room. I do not know if that is a hall or bedroom. A hall would work and they would be in a totally separate room.

The toilet and sink wall are on the other side of our living room, the door opens from a small hallway from the garage, and the wall with the toilet paper holder is an exterior wall. The new pic shows you the living room and you can see the bathroom door

Kind of hard to get a good photo because of the small space. It’s 6 by 8 total, making the bathroom 6 by 4 and the laundry 6 by 4. You could probably leave the machines how they are, have a regular 36” door instead of bi-folds, and room for a folding counter across).

Thank you. I plan for a cute cosmetic update. Sure, I’d like a spacious laundry room, but that is not realistic and this setup works great.
Ask your plumber or other professional what would be cheapest/easiest... moving toilet to the laundry sink area or to the bathroom sink area. Since you have sinks in both locations, you can keep one location or the other, right? And depending on floor joists, the toilet can move easiest in one direction or the other.

We’re ripping up the hardwood in the room too, so hopefully that makes it easier.

True. You might want to get a quote on moving the duct. Maybe, it could go on the wall opposite to where it is now. With the laundry doors, you might have to move the duck there too. I think moving ducks are less expensive than moving a toilet.

Very true! I hate the way the dryer venting is done anyway so maybe we could do it all.
