I use my friend's recipe.

The Base for one prepared container:

1 1/2 cups lemon juice

1/2 cup boiling water

1 1/4 cups sugar (OR, 3/4 to 1 cup of Splenda)

Add sugar or Splenda to boiling water. stir until dissolved.

Add to lemon juice; stir.

Freeze in individual containers.

When ready to make a pitcher:

Defrost one prepared container and add

4 1/2 cups cold water. Stir.

You might want to make one recipe and try it out for sweetness before making multiple containers.

I dont' recommend canning it. It will develope an off-flavor that you might not like. Ever had Real Lemon in the bottle?
