We just painted our master and I love the color but now Need decor ideas! it is so plain. I have some lamps coming for the nightstands But not sure what to put on the walls. I like the modern farmhouse/boho style.

Not a pro but I really like your dark wall. Can't tell from the lighting but does it have a grey undertone or brown?

Thank you! The dark wall is a grey undertone

I see a dressed up room and elegant elements. If your lamps have sheen like mercury lamps, this could look nice.

Just as the ceiling is bold in design, a pillow can be too. I'm searching for linen, and casual fabrics, and this might be wood beads...

Wow, I looked at another of your photos, and I think the ceiling is painted the same as the walls? grey?

because carpeting is warm in color... something like this could be nice. Would break the sameness of color with bedding and the bench [being the same??]

Right now the walls are grey and the bedding is an off white/cream color. I do want to add some color. I was also thinking blue. I want something to go on the walls also.

A large painting or drawing on the right-hand big wall, and two smaller ones on the other, one on each side of the mirror. What you choose depends on your taste in art, but I'd keep them simple and probably modern. The two smaller paintings should have a similar feel and be the same size (same artist?). The styles of art on the two walls can be notably different, but it would be good to have them compatible in terms of palette. Very important is that whatever you choose should make you very happy. You'll be seeing them every night and morning.

About the dressing table -- I suggest you move the smaller photo much closer to the bigger one, and put a fairly tall coloured glass vase on the other side to balance them. Pick the colour from the art.

To make the transition with the too wide headboard and your windows I'd recommend drapery panels to back up the setting. You'll see is the other photo I selected a tufted headboard that stepped down on the sides so there isn't such a barrier to the back windows and I still added drapery panels.

Too many 90 degree corners with the tray-tray ceiling and the saying above the bed and the headboard so I have eliminated some of them with a sunburst mirror or arch of some type over the headboards.

I know that people insist on fans, but I have replaced all my ceiling fans with air shower fans that I can hide in the corner of the room or behind a piece of furniture. I'm able to use ceiling lights, the air shower fans are not as drying as sleeping under a ceiling fan and the air is still circulated.

I agree there are too many angles! We haven’t had this bed long so I can’t change that but I think adding the drapery and something different above the bed is great! Thank you for the visual. It makes it easier to see

    You're welcome. Good luck.

Your paint selection is beautiful and dramatic. I think the “word art” detracts from the elegant look you are trying to create. Also, the headboard is high enough that you don’t need anything above it. Let the eye instead be drawn to that gorgeous ceiling. Focus on art for the other walls instead. There are some great suggestions in the other comments on this thread.
