I'm on round 3 of having my hw floors refinished throughout my entire home. 1st redo was largely successful, except the chatter in every single room which I'm trying to live with. Not sure if the chatter is from operator/equipment issues or bc my floors are old (but sound) and possibly vibrated during the process. I also don't want to sacrifice another layer of wood. In addition, I chose a dark finish which I understand can highlight imperfections.

Besides chatter, 1st redo was ok except for 2 bedrooms, which had excessive bubbles and a very rough finish. Same company redid, but aside from the same poor result in 1 of the 2 bedrooms, the finish looks suspiciously not matte (which the rest are). Product used was Lenmar oil based poly dull rubbed finish. I addressed the issue with GC, and he says floors get shinier with each application of poly. Based on my research, this is not so. Up to now all work (besides floors) has been excellent. Any input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
