I’m having the same issue. Did you end up choosing one over the other and are you happy with your choice?

We haven’t chosen yet. When we google photos, we seem to gravitate towards the Karis without knowing it’s the Karis. In person, the Karis is still very nice but is a bit busier. Every slab is different and I worry that our countertop may look too busy and won’t have a nice clean look. But I also worry about the kitchen being too plain if we go with the Muse since our cabinets are white.

What are your thoughts?

I have looked at both of these too. To my eye, the Muse actually looks busier. I think it’s because there is so much white and the veins stand out in sharper contrast. I too am drawn to the Karis every time I see it in person. However, I think it’s off my list of possibilities because the colors are too cool to work in my house. :(

@Liz Court what color are your cabinets?

They will be SW Pure White.

I've been having a similar debate, though now also considering minuet. The Karis read a little muddier...not sure what to do!

The minuet with an unpolished finished was our first choice looking at the samples but we decided against it after seeing pictures and the slabs in person.

What did you decide on?

@Reno Help! I have been looking at Minuet as well. I think I’ve narrowed it down to either Minuet or Montauk. I need to go look at the full slabs again so I can decide. They are both warmer than Muse or Karis. I think I need that little bit of warmth. My kitchen faces north and all our lighting is cool temperatures. So the Muse and Karis look like sterile, neon white in my space.

@Liz Court looking at the slabs is definitely helpful and informative! The samples they provide aren’t representative of the sheets at all! I googled Montauk and it’s also very nice!

My fiancé and I have decided to go with the Karis. We’re choosing the Karis based on seeing the slabs in person and the fact that we always gravitate towards it when we google pictures. This is our first house so fingers crossed it isn’t a Frankenstein house in the making haha.

I agree seeing slabs is so useful, it's also hard to generalize what it looks like in warehouse to what it looks like in our space/light. Feels slightly impossible:)

My husband and I decided on Muse. Our construction just started this week so I can’t help with a picture. I explored all the others mentioned but decided to go with Muse because it seemed like more of a pure white background and our cabinets are going to be white.

@Marie Vetter if you’re looking for something similar to the muse but more of a pure white, you should check out Cornerstone Empira White 5151. We looked at that first and found it to be brighter than the muse.

What color are your cabinets?

They are called sea salt by medallion cabinetry. It’s a little off white, but not very

Something else to consider: you may be happy with either or both of those choices. Don’t think of one of them as right and the other wrong. Also consider if there will be seams. If there is a seam in muse (think it’s the longer veining) its harder to match and look right. If you need a seam and have an all over pattern like minuet, its almost invisible with the pattern. I went through all these same dilemmas last month before I bought minuet and the one thing I wished I had looked at was what does the slab look laying down as it will be on the countertop? That view is completely different than the slabs standing up in the yards.

@cherbeau we went with an off white by olympia. It's so hard to imagine what the house will look like as it's a new construction.

What are the best whites that go with Muse countertops?

I'm really considering Minuet for my kitchen remodel. lmmcnitt, you mentioned that it looked different laying down as a countertop than it did standing up in the yard. Do you regret choosing Minuet? I really like the pictures and small samples that I've seen, but I know that's a lot different than seeing a whole slab. I just worry it might be too plain. I'm also considering Silestone Helix.

I absolutely loved minuet and would use it again. It had just enough pattern to make it interesting. Standing on top looking down, the pattern is noticeable, it is NOT a plain white with faint design. I still feel that there are a lot of good choices and you may be happy with a few different ones. Seems like patterns of all quartz are either small squiggly lines all over (minuet) or large skinny lines and veins spaced apart but going the width of the slab or “sponged” larger wider veins. Within these patterns some are more faint or more prevalent and light gray or dark gray. Which do you like and which would work with the layout of the kitchen and seems required? Background “cool” or “warm” is the last consideration. Hope this helps! Work next to ensure a really good installation and seam work so you’re completely happy.

I would say my home is mostly neutral/warm in tone. We have dark wood-look porcelain floor tile in the kitchen and I wanted a whiter countertop to help brighten up the room. I'm not a big fan of the quartz with a lot of really defined "movement". Since we will definitely have to put a seam in the L shaped portion that includes my sink and cooktop, it makes more sense to go with a smaller pattern that we won't have to be so concerned about getting a really obvious pattern lined up. I realize the Minuet might be more on the cool side, but hopefully I could use a little warmer paint on the cabinets and the walls to counteract the cool. I also love the pattern of the Silestone Helix, but it looks like the veining is a darker gray in the pictures online. I really need to find full size slabs to decide between the two!

Minuet was described by the salespeople as being a warm quartz. We had dove white cabinets (warm) so it was perfect.
