Any regrets using chrome?

I am choosing kitchen pulls next week for my new white shaker kitchen with Cambria Weybourne counters and black slate floors.

In my last remodel I chose brushed nickel, very practical but would have preferred a little more shine with chrome in retrospect.

My gut says go with chrome on this one but with a busy house full of teenagers will I regret the constant cleaning of chrome?

Anyone choose chrome and have regrets?

I've never regretted chrome in past kitchens, and I've used retro dish-shaped ones that should really show grime (except they don't really, and nothing cleans we well as quality chrome anyway).

I put brushed nickel, or (maybe it was stainless) on the current kitchen and swapped them out for black after a year or two, but not because of dirt.

Black shows the most in my experience. :)
