If you select "shiny", guaranteed the sun will reflect into your eyes more than once during its lifetime.

I also think that shiny will show dirt/dings from hail, etc.. much more prominently.

Shiny will probably look more matte after time anyway. Shiny will show more dents/defects/dirt. I'd hands down go matte

Matte is the way to go. I have a few neighbors that have the matte and it looks great❣️

I agree with other posters - shiny will probably got to a matte finish in time because of exposure to ultraviolet radiation. As with any material a matte finish will hide more dings and dents than a shiny surface. Good luck!
