We’re renovating an old home. With that in mind we want to be conscious of spending. We know the house itself, the old brick etc needs work and we want to reserve money for that. So things like the bathroom vanity we’d like to get creative with. I had time to be creative until our contractor said he’s ready in three weeks instead of June 1. We’re in Denver and contractors are a hot commodity right now and we desperately need this bathroom for our family. So now I’m scrambling to find everything for the bathroom as I’ve only just narrowed down the style we’re going for.

Anyway, I was looking at an IKEA kitchen cabinet base, third party fronts and fabricating marble for the vanity top. But now that seems like so much more work for not really any savings considering I can get a double vanity with marble top for less than 2k. We also need a tall, skinny linen in the bathroom bc we have no other storage upstairs. Ikea comes through here given that other linens are almost 1000k themselves. Or we mix and match or wait to find the right antique linen to fit the space.

We’re also hesitant to buy a vanity from a lot of places online bc of the quality. I visited Ferguson today and have checked out their website, build.com and saw a lot I liked. They still wouldn’t be delivered in time for the contractor but I’ve just decided he’s going to have to come back for the vanity install bc I doubt I’ll get one in the next three weeks.

Long story short, where should I get my vanity? I’ve included two photos of vanities that I really like, the classic and I love the way that the depths change around the sink bases. We also have an arch in our shower like one of the photos so I’m partial to that entire design.

We’re a family of four, we’ll add a master bath down the road but for the foreseeable future we’ll all be sharing a bathroom so we’re going double sink, as much storage as we can and under mount sink with a solid surface vanity top for easy cleaning.
