Ideas for End Tablea

I am looking for new end tables. I am going to be installing a dark brown Luxury Vinyl planking floor. I have a round dark wood/black metal leg coffee table that will have a neutral colored area rug under it. I am trying to update my look to brighten up the room but I still want to use the same coffee table. Any ideas on end tables that would work? I have no idea even where to start. What color, wood, metal...no wood no metal? Can I use something besides the dark wood and black? Please excuse my mess, I am in the middle of a kitchen renovation. I have also attached a picture of fabric of the new Roman Shades that will be installed.

No particular suggestion except to say you might want to follow this chart. Tables 1" above or below sofa arms and lamp added to reach this height. With a coffee table no more than 18" from the sofa to be useful, end tables really aren't needed. Floor lamps can replace table lamps.

Consider a drum table combined with a floor lamp because right now, with the position of your end table and table lamp, the lamp is directly in front of the FP and that is not a good look.

I'd also consider removing the bookcases which detract from the main focus of the FP & replacing them with lower chests with some type of art or wall decor above.

I love your ideas Beverly! I am actually putting roman shades in. I like the idea of a floor lamp too. what kind of end table would you suggest for the other side? The half wall is now removed.

Beverly...you don't think the end table is too rustic? I am going g to have dark floors installed and I am trying to lighten up the room.
