Awkward Front Entrance HELP!!!

I just purchased this home and am searching for ideas on a better front entrance. The small door enters the pantry/laundry room and the double doors enter the library front room. The deck is an amazing space, I'm just not so sure what to do with this pergola.. It's not very inviting. HELP!!

What a great house!

Is the front door off the driveway? Can you see the front door from the street? Which one is the main entrance? Also which door is the main entrance?

Some tips.... paint the door that is not the entrance, the same color as your exterior. Take a picture of your home and go straight to a landscaping place and ask for help. Repaint your pergola, add an indoor outdoor area rug, some planters and a some seating if you have room.

I, too, would paint the single door to match your siding and blend in, and then paint the double doors a more vibrant color to catch the eye. Maybe buy 3 or 4 outdoor runners and make a path through the porch to the double doors, to help lead guests from the driveway to the doors you want them to use. Also, get a extra-long double door width Welcome mat, instead of a rinky-dink 36."

Give the pergola a fresh coat of paint and add some seating.

The 1st small door leads to the pantry/laundry room and the double doors lead to the library front room. Thank you all for the suggestions ill keep you posted!!

Let us be clear on something. Your “front” door is the double french door? I would find that confusing. I would probably replace it with a single door with sidelights and paint it a color that says “front door,” while minimizing the pantry door. I would also remove all the railing on the pergola. It isn’t necessary. And....rather than having guests enter from the end of the pergola, I would create a new sidewalk around the patio area, allowing planting beds along the way, and directing people to the end of the pergola where the true entrance is to your home.

AS much I like pergolas, I would recommend removing that one. Part of the problem is that the entrance into the porch, the pergola area, is not lined up with the double doors. I would suggest a different treatment, a narrower porch roof along that side of the house and reworking the path from the parking to the double doors.
