It is too late to change the tub. Especially with the tile pattern you have . The cement board and tile come down over the lip of the tub.

Once you put your shower fixtures in, it will look fine. If it really bothers you, paint your ceiling darker so the wall and tub look like one piece, color wise.

This will look fine once you are using it and are used to the change in visuals.

I finished a remodel recently and there was inevitably some shocks which caused me to freak out. Luckily my designer talked me off the cliff and once everything was in place, it worked.

And there are going to be inevitable glitches or stuff that you might have done differently but fairly soon you just get used to it and focus on the (hopefully) 95% that was as good or better than your expectations.

Tall glass doors or panels will help; you're not finished yet, so don't panic.

How high is your ceiling? With those nice tiles, I presume you are going to use glass doors but if you were to use a curtain instead, the rod would visually break the height of the wall and your tub would not look as low.
