Moonlight Sonata finished!

This may be my last king size quilt. It's really a challenge working with such a huge thing! This was a kit from Wing and a Prayer Designs. It's 103" square. It took 2 weekends to quilt and four mornings and evenings of hand sewing to finish the binding.

It's hard to get a good picture, but here are two from different angles.

I'm all caught up on quilting now. Next project is finishing another one started by my mom, which will go to my great-nephew who is getting married in August.

I admire anyone who is caught up on quilting. I have a drawer of "to be quilted" that will keep me for years if we are ever snowed in.

What a beautiful quilt, Donna. It’s just lovely. What kind of a quilting set-up do you have that you can tackle a king quilt? I can’t imagine wrestling with a king on my sit-down Tiara.

Thanks, everyone! Lois, I have a Grace Continuum frame set up at 10', with a 9" Juki machine. I got the Grace frame last summer and it's a super major improvement over my old Hinterberg frame! I just love it. I think someday I'd like to get a mid arm machine (15-16") but I'd have to make sure I have room for it. :)
