hmm, could still be drimiopsis maculata, I'd wait to see how the plant matures before suggesting it's not what the label says.

Looks like something that is related to Scillia violacea

It is ledebouria socialis, from the Eastern Cape of South Africa (the more tropical side). It likes a little more water than most succulents but still needs a very porous, fast-draining soil.

Was thinking the plant was missing the purple from underneath to be ledebouria socialis but not a specialist. Just for comparison, here is a pic of a mature drimiopsis maculata found on the web.

I have Drimiopsis maculata. Leaves are wider, spotted more when young, and blooms are white, scented and slightly different (color and the way they are arranged on the stalk) than Ledebouria blooms. Bulbs are "naked" - Ledebouria has a paper like, thin covering that peels off as they grow. Here is photo of one of them:

I also have Ledebouria socialis.

@rina_Ontario,Canada 5a, your maculata is what I found in my searches, so I was right, and the label is wrong. Thank you for sharing that.

@ jojosplants, you guys are probably right, the pic I uploaded from the web must be mislabeled too :(. Actually, when browsing more pics, it seems many plants labeled as drimiopsis maculata can look quite different.

Most of what I found look like what Rina shared, but there were variations. Some may be hybrids.

I am always bummed when a plant has the wrong tag. I have one other from the same grower (different type of plant) that I wont be able to identify until it blooms. :-(

BTW, Ledebouria could loose the purple color on underside of the leaves. Like many plants, it reacts to the light. And there are hybrids of both Ledebouria and Drimiopsis, sometimes with small variations.
