Yes, I used it a lot when our children were young. Yes, it worked for most stains. For a stain I'd rub some into it directly before washing.

I haven't use Clorox 2 in YEARS. I never noticed anything outstanding about it so stopped using it.

It did have a nice fresh scent back in the day.

I used it back in the 1970s and 1980s. A friend suggested trying Biz in 2001 after surgery and have used Biz ever since.

I personally never seen the powder version in stores, but then again when it was around I wasn't looking for it.

I happen to actually like the Clorox 2 Liquid. And yes, I do, know, it's nothing more than hydrogen peroxide and surfactant.

I've been doing a lot of laundry in conventional "deep fill" top loaders lately, and I've noticed it does a very good job when paired with a Enzyme-Based Laundry Detergent without oxygen bleach, boosting stain removal. More importantly, unlike OxiClean, it seems to rinse a WHOLE lot better from fabrics, and leaves things softer because of it's lack of carbonates (soda ash) like Oxiclean.

I would only buy it for a top loading washer, and only at Costco when on sale. Otherwise, it's a expensive product, but it does work.

For years I used Clorox 2 but stopped using it, probably when I bought my first FL which was 20 years ago. I may experiment with these various products as I am finding detergent and a booster is not really giving me the results I think are great.

@Pat Z5or6 SEMich, I have not one but two bottles of current day, current formula Tide with Bleach Alternative Formula Liquid. While it's great stuff, it's not as strong as it used to be, and in all honesty, I just use it for colored-loads of laundry now.

For White Clothes, I'm using Latin American Ariel from Mexico.

@MWJ '90, from my memory that product doesn't contain enzymes like the old boxes of Clorox 2 Did. The old Clorox 2 was a great powder booster, almost in line with Biz. Now I would say, Biz is the closest you'd find to old Clorox-2 Powder.

I was at the Smart & Final grocery today...and saw for the first time ever, a box of powder Clorox 2. I remembered this thread and put the box in my cart. I used it in a load of colors today with Kirkland Free/Unscented liquid detergent. Wow! Everything was so fresh it was like a load of brand new-never-worn clothes. The instructions were more than confusing. I used a little over a 1/4 cup in my full fill TL washer. Gave it a 30 min soak then finished up.

I've never used this before and I think I might be a fan. I might even say it worked better than Biz...and I'm a fan of Biz. Beginners luck?

Sea Sea, I haven't seen the powder at all. But my local store finally got the pods back in stock. Yay! The free and clear version with TAED, your powder should have it too.

beaglenc, I would assume the pods are the same as the powder. Maybe? We are all different with our conditions, but I had zero suds using both detergent and the Clorox 2 powder. I was not expecting that. I have naturally soft water and suds can ruin my day quick.

Sea, what a pleasant surprise. Know what you mean about suds and naturally soft water. Tide f/g he turbo is all I can use and sometimes it's hard to rinse out. But sometimes I wonder if it's not the speed queen. Have always had issues with it.

I agree with you that the SQ could rinse a little better considering how much water it uses. It does rinse circles around the two FL washers I had, but still, it has a lot of water to work with...
