Help with half moon window

Hello everyone! We are in desperate need of new windows, and we’ve opted to replace them with black ones. I can’t decide if I want to keep the half moon window or take it out. I’m worried that if I remove it there will be too much space between roofline and top of the windows at that point. My style is somewhere between southern colonial and farmhouse. Please help! Also- what color should I paint the posts... we are also getting a new door. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
