Good luck!

New House? New Windows? Under warranty? Film on them will likely invalidate any warranty, so that isn't the answer. Do they face the street?

Not a new house (7 years old). We just did a 8 month interior reno. We live on 20 acres...so privacy isn’t the issue. Just the bright morning sun!

What a fun room!! I would think of it as a sailing ship and of the curtains as sails!! He would be so happy to be a pirate:)

I don't see how any blinds could be made operable on them. The only way to hang curtains, would be to have angled curtains made that can be tied back at a couple of places. Even then, you can't completely uncover them.

I think ceiling mounted forward of the windows is the only solution I can come up with maybe make them be some sort of fun idea .

This is what I ended doing

I tried to download a video but I couldn’t

Use foamcore board cut to fit when it is wedged in. Add knobs. Lift on and off every morning and night.

If you like, you can stretch fabric over the foamcore, paint it, or cover with wallpaper.
