I thought of this forum when I was cleaning out my garage earlier and a truck pulled up to deliver a new washer and dryer to my neighbors across the street. The delivery guys brought out the machines being replaced and my heart sank. Kenmore Series 70 that I am guessing were from the late 80's to early 90's at most. According to my neighbor who saw me looking at them and came out to chat the washer worked fine but the dryer was not working so they decided to buy a new set. The washer did not have an infinite water level but it did have the 3 distinct cycles. It had a gray speckled tub. There was no odor and very little crud under the lid. I thought so much about asking for it, but my partner humors me about my washer interest but does not understand it and would give me grief about storing it in our garage. What a find this would have been for someone if I would have had notice and been able to act on it.
