The leaves are very shiny and thin, smooth on top and bottom of leaf.

It's a viburnum.

I looked at the viburnums that are native to this area but the leaves don't look right. Viburnum prunifolium looks close but its flowers are suppose to be scentless.

There’s no doubt that it’s a Viburnum. Does it have to be one of the native species? No chance it’s an escapee or dumped? How close is it to habitation? We can’t see the foliage clearly. With more pix you might get a specific id.

I will take somemore pictures. It is surrounded by poison ivy. We have been having a squirrel problem and it is in the woods away from developed areas where I let the trapped squirrel go. There is 1 more squirrel who refuses to be trapped and relocated but maybe since his friend is gone he will try some of the sunflower seeds.

Looks like it could be Rusty Blackhaw Viburnum which is native in your area.

A bit OT, but aren't squirrels territorial? CIs it possible to relocate them?
