Need help with Laundry room design!

Please help! I am in the process of remodeling my laundry room with new flooring and countertop. As you can see from the pics, the laundry room (right side of first pic with blue paint) is located right next to my kitchen. The second picture shows a better shot of my kitchen countertops. The third is my laundry room. And the fourth and fifth pics show just some examples of fun tiles (don't necessarily have to be any of these).

My dilemma is:

1) should I continue the flooring (Provenza Sweet Talker) and countertop (Cambria Skara Brae) from my kitchen into my laundry room? Or

2) would it look okay to use a fun floor tile with a more basic white countertop in my laundry room? If fun floor tile, any suggestions?

Also, I am considering shiplapping the walls and/or am not opposed to changing the paint color in the laundry room.

I am no expert, but I love the fun tile especially the ones in 4th pic!

This pic seemed to capture a similar look. Personally I would opt for a solid countertop or even do a wood look (match the wood in your floors).

Also your kitchen is absolutely gorgeous! Good luck!

IMHO that type of floor tile will date your house in a few years. I would go with the flooring that exists in the kitchen. You can have fun decor in a laundry room, but I’d make the hard to change things more neutral and leave the pattern to something someone could change. My old house(that had an actual laundry room) I did pretty neutral cabinets and countertops but I spent some money on a high end wallpaper. I always got compliments on that room, it was so funny to me. But it was cheerful.

You could achieve that look with wallpaper.

This one has some shiplap, with wallpaper above.

If I had a laundry room now, I’d probably go nuts with something like this 😂.

@Annette Holbrook(z7a) You are so right! I really like the fun floor tiles, but I hadn't thought about it dating my house. I really like the wallpaper idea ... that would be so much easier and cheaper to change out. Thanks so much for your help!
