I am wondering if I should replace my 16-year old windows while I'm remodeling the house. I built my house (KB Home) 16 years ago and am now doing a whole-home remodel. This includes installing trim and sills around the windows (currently its just drywall around windows), and painting the exterior stucco. I live in the desert SW so there is very moisture, but it rained a little bit the other day and I noticed a small amount of condensation on one of the south-facing windows. Overall the windows seem fine, but I'm wondering if I should replace the windows now before spending the money on new trim, sills, and exterior paint.
