The Asheville Blue Ridge Rose Society in Asheville NC remains active. They had decided several years ago to have an internet presence as well as monthly meetings. They have a test garden at the local Red Cross headquarters and it has helped keep interest up because it's the kind of maintenance activity that is socially distanced even in normal times.

This year they have hand cyber meetings and arranged major speakers (with lots of preplanning) so members can have shared knowledge.

They remain an enthusiastic group and we are members though the drive over in I-40 has gotten stressful as traffic got a lot heavier and 18 wheelers and curving olde (sic) interstate mountain roads went from exciting to miserable.

An addendum: I just got the latest May/June American Rose and the "Happenings" were half a page, a great and depressing change from the multipages it used to take up. There's a single national convention (Milwaukee), local shows in Tampa, Huntsville, Kansas City, Omaha, Richmond VA, and Folsom CA. An unjudged rose exhibition in Philadelphia and a virtual event in Houston.
