MDF doors will be heavier, much more stable and just as durable. Never heard of Frameport but Trustile is the tried and true MDF door champion in my book. And Frameport is available thru HD and Lowes and while I do shop at both stores, I would NEVER buy windows, doors or millwork from either store.

MDF is always the most stable material. A solid core door is only important for bedrooms . bathrooms, and perhaps a "quiet space study. No point to the dollars anywhere else in most instances.

SHAKER style doors, a recessed panel can be carried throughout ..........in consideration of that. MDF assumes a painted finish. Pine is soft and I'd stay away from it.

I had Trustile in my last house. I wish I had them in this house. They are fabulous. My builder did not use the screws that came with my hinges (bravura) because he didn’t think they were long enough to support the weight of the Trustile doors. I have wooden doors in my new house and the Trustile is superior to these doors.

I cannot in good conscience ever recommend Jeldwen anything. Apples and Oranges.
